for the spammy email linking me to a very very dull thread in which I cant even reply. Serious misuse of members details.

its a admin tool that i can send bulk e-mails to members, its in the T&C for the site that you will recieve bulk email from admin staff, so its not a misuse of member details at all.

you can unsubscribe from this by following the link on the e-mail
